The Challenge: A single-day shoot with Mercedes F1 driver George Russell and support from G42 meant there was no margin for error. The real challenge wasn't filming in a hotel room — it was building a world around it that felt as powerful and high-stakes as Formula One itself. Everything beyond the live action — from lighting and environment to the hero car reveal — needed to be built entirely in CGI.
Creative Solution: This project was driven by R&D and iteration. Using Cinema 4D, Redshift, and X-Particles, we pushed look development to the edge — experimenting with lighting, materials, and particle dynamics to get the right sense of speed and precision. The ribbon sequence was engineered to embody momentum and flow, while the final car reveal pushed rendering to its limits with layered passes and complex simulation work.
Impact & Results: The finished film turned a simple one-day shoot into a cinematic story that matched the scale and speed of Formula One. George Russell's presence was elevated by advanced CGI and rendering work, blending live action and digital craft into a seamless, high-impact piece. The result felt premium, fast, and relentlessly engineered — just like the sport itself.
